Hello and welcome to our new section - Meet the successful partners at MindHub! In it, we will regularly meet with passionate entrepreneurs from all over the world, who will share their experience and good practices about being owners of the first innovative school for programming for kids.

Today we meet Alex & Paul Halalai, who are fathers and IT developers, and also owners of MindHub Brașov, Romania!

1. Introduce yourself with a few words

We are Alex and Paul, brothers, owners of MindHub Brașov, fathers of beautiful and smart kids and passionate about technology and its impact on our daily lives, digital activities, and education.

2. How did you find out about the MindHub franchise program?

A couple of years ago, we were looking for something to invest in, something that could contribute to a bigger picture, and a franchise dedicated to digital education seemed the right choice. We researched it, talked to various people about this idea, and then, finally, made the decision to join the MindHub team.

3. What motivated you to apply for a franchise and to join the MindHub network of innovative coding academies?

As fathers and IT developers, we know first hand how important it is to have access to digital knowledge and capabilities. The future belongs to our kids and the future generations, so it made complete sense to invest in a program that supports digital education. 

4. Which of your professional skills are helping you to grow and develop locally as a successful business and coding academy?

Our experience in IT surely helps. Us interacting with clients is another piece of the puzzle. Where our skills are lacking in some sense - like marketing and copywriting, we rely on a great team of professionals to help us deliver the right message to the right people - digital education is not a niche, it is the future, and it should belong to kids all ages. Fun and interactive, our coding program is an extraordinary tool for kids to be acquainted with the technology.

5. What are the biggest challenges that you face as an owner of an innovative coding academy?

Our biggest challenge was adapting to the pandemic landscape - it surely changed the way we work, meet with kids, arrange our logistics and deliver comprehensive digital knowledge, online or on-site. But we made it, and the pandemic helped us improve, adapt and become more flexible and creative. We are hopeful that, once the world returns to its natural course, MindHub Brasov will continue to grow and thrive.

6. How can you describe working with kids through the MindHub prism?

Kids are great. They can teach us so many things! MindHub and its curriculum makes it so easy for us to stay connected and interact with kids while teaching them and still managing to have lots of fun! Since the whole philosophy of MindHub is based on experiential learning, our regular get-togethers with kids and teenagers couldn't be more fulfilling! 

7. How do you want to further develop your current MindHub center and where do you see it in the next few years?  

We have lots of ideas when it comes to the future - developing new centers, creating some pro-bono programs for kids who don't have the financial capabilities to attend our classes, giving back to the community, and many more.
